[...] I have a real thing for “Geek Music” (see My Cubicle and The DOM Song too) so when I ran into Code Monkey Like You over on Crazy Bob’s site I just had to post a link. Based on this song I’ve subscribed to Jonathan Coulton podcast and I hope the RIAA and MPAA get what can happen when people are allowed the freedom given under innovative licenses like those of the Creative Commons. Of course with the recent Google and YouTube news, we might see a lot more of this kind of work… [...]

[...] I’ve posted about geek music before (and in case you missed it, my cubicle is dead on) so when I ran into Tim Bray’s The DOM Song, I just had to put up a link to it! As someone that has done his fair share of hand to hand combat with the DOM, I found this quite amusing [...]

One of my favorites was the song about the DeCSS code - http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/DeCSS/Gallery/css_descramble_joe_wecker.mp3

I also recall a song about CARP from the BSD guys, and now discover there is a whole heap of songs with mp3 and ogg recording at http://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html.

Then there was a recording of Stallman singing the free software song, and various remixes - http://www.gnu.org/music/free-software-song.html

Lastly the recording at http://rathergood.com, although mybe not geeky, may appeal to geeks (they appeal to me, especially "we Like the Moon" http://www.rathergood.com/moon_song/)
